Bouquet with a white hydrangea in the center, pink peonies, cream roses and white lisianthus around it, with eucalyptus along the edges, standing 50–60 cm tall, prepared in our flower shop in Bucharest. The hydrangea occupies most of the center on its own and provides volume, while the other flowers create the outline. The white packaging with blue accents is chosen so as not to compete with the main flower.

How the hydrangea behaves in a vase

The hydrangea is the first to show signs of fatigue, and it is also the one that recovers most dramatically: if it droops, submerge the entire flower in a basin of cold water for 20–30 minutes, then put it back. It needs plenty of water, so keep the vase three-quarters full and check the level every evening. The other flowers only need clean water and a diagonal cut whenever the water is changed; the bouquet looks good for 5–7 days.

Does the hydrangea withstand transport?

Yes, if it gets into water quickly. The courier carries it supported and upright, and upon receipt the flower head is sprayed with water and the stem is recut diagonally; the hydrangea becomes fully hydrated within a few hours.
